In his speech, Sidna Ahmed Elie, Director General of the Mauritania National Agency for the African "Green Wall", stated that China's innovative solutions have provided important support for Mauritania's efforts to combat desertification and the construction of the African "Green Wall". Zhang Zhigang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Forestry and Grassland Bureau of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, introduced the effectiveness and experience of desertification prevention and control in Xinjiang in his speech. He said that in 2022, Xinjiang achieved a "double reduction" of desertification and desertified land area. Recently, the world's longest ecological barrier around the desert was "Helong" in Xinjiang, creating a model and model for national desertification prevention and control, and contributing to the strengthening of the ecological security barrier in northern China.
