The safety and comfort of home, the space they rely most on for their activities, not only directly affects their quality of life, but also their judgment of self-worth, which inevitably affects their attitude and enthusiasm towards participating in social life, and ultimately feeds back into the vitality value of a society. In addition, the aging friendly home environment will effectively reduce the burden and cost of caregiving for families, which is closely related to social welfare and public health expenditures. Therefore, adapting to aging at home has never been a household matter. With the acceleration of the 'silver wave', the elderly population is expanding rapidly, and the demand for home aging adaptation is becoming increasingly urgent. According to authoritative statistics, as of the end of 2023, there will be 296.97 million elderly people aged 60 and above in China, accounting for 21.1% of the total population. In recent years, the country and local governments have vigorously promoted the aging friendly transformation of public environments, such as installing elevators in old residential areas and guiding some mobile apps to add elderly friendly modes; We have also launched pilot explorations for the renovation of the space inside our homes. The change in the expression from "accessible renovation for elderly families" to "aging friendly renovation for elderly people at home" shows the progress of our concepts and the expansion of our practices.
