2024-12-06
At 12:41 on the 5th, China successfully launched the Qianfan Polar Orbit 03 group of satellites into orbit using the Long March 6 modified carrier rocket from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center. The satellites entered the predetermined orbit smoothly and the launch mission was a complete success. The Long March 6 carrier rocket is a new generation of solid-liquid bundled medium-sized carrier rocket developed by the Eighth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. Its 700 kilometer sun synchronous orbit carrying capacity is not less than 4.5 tons. According to the Eighth Academy, the Long March 6 carrier rocket has entered the high-density launch phase. This rocket adopts a modular, modular, and serialized development approach, and in the future, multiple configurations can be formed through the adjustment of boosters to meet the diverse and intensive launch needs of future satellites. The Qianfan Polar Orbiter 03 satellites launched this time are provided with launch services by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation Great Wall Company as the general contractor. Qianfan polar orbit 03 group satellites include 18 low orbit broadband Internet satellites, which are the third batch of the first generation satellites of Qianfan Constellation of Shanghai Yuanxin Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. Three batches of Qianfan satellites were successfully launched by Long March 6 carrier rockets. For this mission, the rockets will continue to use a stacked layout to launch "one rocket, 18 satellites". (New Society)
