On December 5th local time, the participating troops of the China Indonesia "Peace Eagle-2024" joint exercise, with the background of "responding to major natural disasters", divided into three fields: land, sea, and air, and carried out "joint natural disaster rescue" live fire exercises simultaneously at multiple training grounds of the Indonesian National Army, enhancing the joint humanitarian rescue and disaster reduction capabilities of the two armies. At around 8 o'clock, members of the airborne troops from both sides boarded two Indonesian military transport planes in a mixed formation and maneuvered from Halim Airport in Jakarta to the airspace over Gorda Airborne Field in Bandan Province. After arriving at the designated airspace, the paratroopers from both sides carried out parachute landing according to orders, accurately landed in the designated area, and quickly completed the assembly. Subsequently, both sides also jointly completed the airdrop of intermediate supplies, as well as emergency treatment and evacuation drills for the wounded. At the same time, the participating officers and soldiers of both armies conducted a "jungle disaster rescue" exercise in a mixed and coordinated manner at the Indonesian Army Special Operations Forces training ground. The participating officers and soldiers from both sides worked together to establish a rescue center, launch drones to investigate the disaster, and use life detectors to search for survivors, successfully completing exercises such as efficient search, emergency treatment, and rapid transfer. At the Bandan Naval Base in Indonesia, the participating naval forces of both sides organized maritime search and rescue exercises in a modular formation. Participating officers and soldiers operate rubber boats and water boosters synchronously to quickly maneuver towards simulated drowning personnel. After arriving at the location, the participating officers and soldiers worked together to rescue the "drowning person", transferred them to shore with a rubber boat, and adopted a vertical rescue method to safely transfer the "drowning person". Representatives of the Chinese and Indonesian armies, as well as members of the joint command center, observed the exercise at the Golda Airborne Field. Indonesian military representative Denis said, "Strengthening defense cooperation between China and Indonesia will further strengthen the peace forces in the region. We look forward to the two sides holding higher-level, more courses, and larger scale joint exercises next year
