Recently, the Ministry of Transport and three other departments jointly issued a notice on further improving the parking and rest environment and caring for truck drivers, in order to better protect the legitimate rights and interests of truck drivers and accelerate the high-quality development of the road freight industry. The notice proposes to continue the construction of gas station type "driver's homes". Transportation authorities and trade union organizations in various regions should make full use of the existing service facilities at gas stations to continuously promote the construction of gas station type "driver's homes", providing affordable, practical and convenient heartwarming services for truck drivers. At the same time, explore and promote the construction of "driver's homes" at ports. Based on the characteristics and actual needs of the distribution of inbound and outbound truck drivers, and tailored to local conditions, relying on international customs clearance ports, port logistics channels, cargo distribution centers, port logistics parks, inbound and outbound truck driver distribution centers, we will explore the creation of a port "driver's home" that integrates cultural promotion, parking and rest, life services, business processing, and emergency support, effectively solving the urgent and difficult needs of inbound and outbound truck drivers. According to the notice, the next step will be to increase the number of truck parking spaces in the highway service area. On the basis of strengthening the fuel safety guarantee for trucks parked in highway service areas, we will explore expanding the scope of safety service guarantee, so that truck drivers can park and rest with peace of mind. In addition, we will promote major Internet road freight platform enterprises to establish a consultation and coordination mechanism with trade unions and truck drivers, negotiate on issues directly related to the rights and interests of truck drivers, such as the freight rate mechanism, proportion, working hours, order distribution, reward and punishment system, and supplementary insurance, fully listen to the opinions and suggestions of drivers, optimize and adjust relevant business strategies in a timely manner, and ensure the right to know, express, and make suggestions of truck drivers.
