December 4th this year is the 11th National Constitution Day. The General Office of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, together with the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and the Ministry of Justice, held a symposium in Beijing on "Promoting the Spirit of the Constitution and Safeguarding the Authority of the Constitution".   He emphasized the need to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee, promote the comprehensive implementation of the Constitution, and provide solid fundamental legal guarantees for comprehensively promoting the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation with Chinese style modernization.
Li Hongzhong pointed out that it is necessary to deeply understand the decisive significance of the "two consolidations", resolutely achieve the "two safeguards", and under the centralized and unified leadership of the Party Central Committee, continuously deepen the promotion of the spirit of the Constitution, promote the implementation of the Constitution, and safeguard the authority of the Constitution. We must firmly grasp that the Constitution of our country is the essential attribute of the socialist constitution, and adhere to the leadership of the CPC determined by the Constitution; Firmly grasp that the Constitution of our country is the true People's Constitution, and adhere to and develop the whole process of people's democracy; Firmly grasp the fundamental legal status of the Constitution of our country, and firmly uphold the authority of the Constitution; Firmly grasp the main functional role of the Constitution and comprehensively strengthen its implementation; Firmly grasping the propaganda and education of the Constitution is a fundamental task in the construction of the rule of law, and promoting the Constitution to deeply penetrate people's hearts.
