Li Qiang stated that China and Nepal are traditional friendly neighbors connected by mountains and rivers. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries nearly 70 years ago, bilateral relations have maintained a healthy and stable development. In particular, in 2019, China and Nepal will establish a strategic partnership of friendship for generations oriented to development and prosperity, which will drive the strong expansion of exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in various fields and bring tangible benefits to the two peoples.   China is willing to work with Nigeria to implement the important consensus of the leaders of the two countries, continue to consolidate and deepen political mutual trust, promote the continuous development of China Nepal relations and cooperation in depth, build a closer China Nepal community of shared future, and better benefit the two peoples.
Li Qiang pointed out that China firmly supports Nepal in exploring a development path that is in line with its national conditions, and is willing to strengthen the docking of development strategies with Nepal, play a leading role in the cooperation between the two countries by jointly building the "the Belt and Road" with high quality, actively expand the scale of two-way trade and investment, strengthen ports, roads, railways, aviation, communications and other connectivity, so as to add impetus to Nepal's transformation from a "landlocked country" to a "landlocked country". China encourages strong Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in Nepal, and is willing to import more high-quality products from Nepal. The two sides should jointly hold a series of commemorative activities for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties next year, deepen people to people and cultural exchanges and local cooperation in tourism, education, medical care, etc., and promote the two peoples to know each other better. China supports Nepal in playing a greater role in international and regional affairs and is willing to strengthen coordination and cooperation with Nepal in multilateral fields.
The all-round friendly relations between Nepal and China are based on the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, which have stood firm over time and become a model of friendly coexistence between countries of different social systems and sizes.   The Nepalese side appreciates China's long-term support for Nepal's economic and social development, always regards China as a reliable partner, and is willing to take the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries next year as an opportunity to further strengthen high-level exchanges with China, consolidate traditional friendship, promote practical cooperation in areas such as connectivity, trade and investment, energy, agriculture, tourism, healthcare, and humanities, work together to address common challenges such as climate change, strengthen multilateral affairs coordination, and promote greater development of bilateral relations.
After the meeting, the two prime ministers witnessed the signing of multiple bilateral cooperation documents, including economic, technological, and trade agreements.
Before the meeting, Li Qiang held a welcome ceremony for Oli in the North Hall of the Great Hall of the People.
