The Ministry of Finance recently released statistical data showing that from January to October, a total of 456.89 billion yuan of new local government bonds were issued nationwide, including 656.8 billion yuan of general bonds and 3912.1 billion yuan of special bonds. A total of 2819.3 billion yuan of refinancing bonds were issued nationwide, including 1245 billion yuan of general bonds and 1574.3 billion yuan of special bonds. The total amount of local government bonds issued nationwide is 7388.2 billion yuan, including 1901.8 billion yuan of general bonds and 5486.4 billion yuan of special bonds. As of the end of October, the balance of local government debt in China was 45316 billion yuan. Among them, general debt is 166016 billion yuan and special debt is 28714.4 billion yuan; Government bonds amounted to 45149.8 billion yuan, while existing government debt in the form of non-governmental bonds was 166.2 billion yuan. At present, the issuance of new local government special bonds this year has been basically completed. The Ministry of Finance recently disclosed that from January to October, more than 30000 special bonds were invested in projects, supporting the construction of a large number of projects with strong economic and social benefits, and effectively playing a positive role in promoting the stable development of local economy and society.
