On the evening of November 26th, the 2nd National Ethnic Instrumental Music Exhibition and Erquan Yingyue · Wuxi Ethnic Music Gathering came to an end at the Wuxi Grand Theatre Opera Hall. The closing performance selected 12 outstanding folk music combinations that participated in the exhibition, including instrumental combinations from professional art schools such as Wuxi National Orchestra's "Qingquan Silk Rhyme", China Conservatory of Music's National Music Elegant Rhyme Combination, Jiangsu Drama School's "Butterfly Dance" Folk Music Combination, Jiangnan Silk and Bamboo Music Performance Troupe, as well as grassroots and distinctive music combinations such as Hebei Funing Drumming Orchestra, Shanxi Desheng Band Blowing and Beating Band, Shandong Zaozhuang Lunan Soft Bow Jinghu Combination, and instrumental combinations from ethnic minority areas such as Baruch Combination and Asialik Combination... The performance repertoire is diverse, including "Huatou Terrace" and "Full Hall Red", which showcase local culture and culture. Works with rich regional characteristics, as well as works such as "Zhonghua Liuban" and "Sijing Ban" that showcase the classic representative repertoire of ethnic music, There are also works that explore the innovative expression of traditional Chinese music, such as "The Opera" and "The Flying Etles", fully demonstrating the vibrant vitality of Chinese music art in creative transformation and innovative development. This exhibition lasted for 9 days, with more than 1600 artists and folk music workers from all over the country presenting 14 performances, showcasing the excellent achievements in the creation and construction of ethnic orchestras, the inheritance and development of folk music genres, and other aspects in recent years. The number of on-site viewers reached 11000, with an average attendance rate of 90%. Experts in ethnic music and related fields conducted discussions and exchanges on 10 ethnic orchestral concerts and 3 folk music combinations through the methods of "one group, one evaluation" and "one performance, one evaluation". They analyzed and improved methods to promote the better development of orchestras and music combinations. In addition, the exhibition innovatively launched 8 "Appreciating Folk Music at Home" - Art Enters Grassroots Activities, organizing some participating music combinations and domestic and foreign bands to go to representative scenic spots, communities, towns, and industrial parks such as Qingmingqiao Square and Lihu Zhiguang in Wuxi to carry out public welfare performances, promoting high-quality cultural resources directly to the grassroots, and bringing folk music art closer to the masses and integrating into people's lives.
