The third pair of giant pandas gifted by the central government to Hong Kong has arrived in Hong Kong for two months. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Cultural, Sports and Tourism Bureau and Hong Kong Ocean Park announced on the 27th that they will hold a unveiling ceremony for the two pandas on December 7th. On December 8th, these two pandas will officially meet the public at Hong Kong Ocean Park. It is reported that two giant pandas have completed quarantine and isolation on October 25th and are adapting to their new habitat in good condition. The Hong Kong Ocean Park is arranging for different groups to visit two giant pandas on a small scale, allowing them to adapt to visitors visiting their homes. On the 27th, Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam announced on social media that the naming and painting competition for giant pandas organized by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau has ended. The co organizer, Hong Kong Ocean Park, has received over 22600 naming suggestions and 3000 painting works. Citizens have actively participated in both competitions, fully reflecting their love for the two giant pandas. The above competition results will be announced together at the giant panda unveiling ceremony. In addition, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Cultural, Sports and Tourism Bureau, together with the Hong Kong Tourism Board and the Hong Kong Ocean Park, has organized a series of promotional activities with the theme of "Gathering World Friends to Visit Hong Kong" to promote the joyful atmosphere of welcoming giant pandas. At the same time, it is hoped that the new giant panda family will play the role of "Hong Kong Tourism Ambassador", introducing various tourism experiences in Hong Kong and attracting tourists from all over the world to visit Hong Kong.
