On November 25-26, 2024, the final of the Zhongguancun Bionic Robot Competition will be held at the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone Exhibition Center in Haidian District. Since its launch in July, the competition has been soliciting outstanding innovative teams in biomimetic robots from around the world, attracting 101 teams to participate in more than 160 events. After a series of preliminary and semi-final selections, 52 participating teams from numerous renowned universities, research institutes, and innovative enterprises competed in 72 final projects with 56 bionic robot works. In the end, more than 30 outstanding teams/companies stood out and won awards and rankings in four major tracks: humanoid biomimetic robots, multi legged biomimetic robots, embodied large models, and other biomimetic robots. On November 27th, 2024, the Zhongguancun Bionic Robot Conference was held at the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone Exhibition Center in Haidian District. This conference is hosted by the Zhongguancun Science City Management Committee and organized by the China Software Evaluation Center (Software and Integrated Circuit Promotion Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology). The finals of this year's competition featured four exciting tracks, with strong teams from all over showcasing not only the latest achievements of bionic robots, but also reflecting the forefront of industry development: bipedal, multi legged, and dexterous hands demonstrated the basic abilities of complex terrain movement and flexible operation; The embodied intelligence reflects the development trend of robots towards humanoid skill based operational capabilities; Innovative achievements in sub fields such as underwater, crawling, and flying have presented accelerated breakthroughs in new material applications, new mechanism designs, new drives, and sensing. Looking ahead to the future, bionic robot technology will continue to lead the forefront of technological innovation and contribute more wisdom and strength to the sustainable development of human society. The Zhongguancun Bionic Robot Competition will continue to reach new heights and become an important bridge for promoting global exchange and cooperation in bionic robot technology.
