On the 26th, the first domestically produced fully electric communication satellite, the Asia Pacific 6E communication satellite, was officially delivered to Indonesia in orbit. This satellite can cover the entire territory of Indonesia, providing the country with cost-effective high-throughput broadband communication services and helping its information technology construction reach a new level. The Asia Pacific 6E communication satellite was developed by the China Academy of Space Technology using the Dongfanghong-3E platform. It is the first satellite of the platform, with a lifespan of 15 years in orbit and a communication capacity of approximately 30Gbps. On January 13, 2023, the satellite entered its designated orbit aboard the Long March 2C carrier rocket. In July of this year, the satellite passed the in orbit technical acceptance review and the final acceptance review of the ground system, and was officially put into operation, with Indonesian users conducting comprehensive testing of the entire system. With the continuous improvement of the domestic communication satellite product line composed of Dongfanghong-3E platform, Dongfanghong-4E platform, and Dongfanghong-5 platform, China Aerospace continuously optimizes and enhances its core competitiveness for international development. The successful delivery of the Asia Pacific 6E communication satellite has further enhanced the brand image and customer recognition of the domestically produced Dongfanghong-3E platform and Dongfanghong's full range of communication satellite platforms in both international and domestic markets.
