The total amount of cold chain logistics was 6.40 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%. Among them, the growth rate in the third quarter was 4.5%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points from the second quarter. The total revenue of cold chain logistics was 417.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.6%. A survey shows that since the third quarter, fresh agricultural products have entered the peak consumption season, driven by the recovery of the catering industry and fresh e-commerce, and the demand for cold chain logistics has steadily increased. The catering revenue in the first three quarters was 394.15 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.2%; Rural online retail sales increased by 8.3%, and online retail sales of agricultural products increased by 18.3%. In the first three quarters, the online retail sales of fruits in China increased by 11.94% year-on-year, with fresh fruits showing particularly outstanding growth, with a growth rate of 18.23%. It is reported that in order to adapt to the rapid development of cold chain logistics demand, with the support of relevant national policies, the construction of cold chain infrastructure represented by cold storage has been steadily promoted, and the investment in cold storage construction has continued to increase. According to incomplete statistics, the investment in cold storage projects in the first three quarters was 36.507 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.53%. The enthusiasm of enterprises to purchase new energy refrigerated trucks has increased. The sales volume of new energy refrigerated trucks in the first three quarters was 9257 units, a year-on-year increase of 230.96%. The penetration rate of new energy refrigerated trucks was 22.4%, a year-on-year increase of 15.8 percentage points.
