On November 25, the reporter learned from the Science and Technology Innovation and Development Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences that the "Science and China" academicians and experts went to Hong Kong recently, and 15 academicians and experts presented a "science popularization feast" for Hong Kong teenagers, aiming to ignite more Hong Kong teenagers' scientific dreams and encourage them to contribute to the development of national science and technology. During the 4-day event, academicians and experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, including Yang Yuliang, Wu Xiangping, Yuan Yaxiang, Tian He, Gao Fu, Xu Yigang, Zhao Guochun, Zhu Min, and Zhu Jiaojun, visited 46 primary, secondary, and tertiary schools in Hong Kong to give science popularization reports and engage in on-site exchanges with young people in fields such as artificial intelligence, space exploration, Earth exploration, and biochemistry. After listening to the profound and interesting explanations of academicians and experts, Hong Kong youth have gained a deeper understanding of the achievements of China's scientific and technological development, and deeply felt the responsibility and patriotism of the vast number of scientific and technological workers, especially the older generation of scientists, in overcoming difficulties and dedicating themselves to their country. It is reported that the "Science and China" academician and expert lecture tour is a high-level science popularization activity jointly launched by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Chinese Association for Science and Technology in 2002.
