Uzbekistan's Central Asian airline Centrum Air recently announced plans to launch a direct flight from Tashkent to Guangzhou starting from November 24, 2024. This route will provide one service per week, with flights from Tashkent to Guangzhou scheduled to run every Sunday and flights from Guangzhou to Tashkent scheduled to run every Monday. The flight will be operated by Airbus A321neo aircraft. Starting from December 2024, the flight frequency will increase to two flights per week, with specific flight schedules on Wednesdays and Sundays. Uzbekistan is an important trading country along the "the Belt and Road", and its capital Tashkent is a prominent hub in Central Asia. Uzbekistan is also the first Central Asian country to grant visa free access to China, boasting numerous historical and cultural relics as well as natural landscapes. This new route of Central Asia Airlines will further promote passenger flow between Tashkent and Guangzhou, while also promoting cooperation in business and cultural exchanges between the two places.
