On the morning of November 20th local time, President Xi Jinping held talks with Brazilian President Lula at the Dawn Palace, the presidential residence in Brasilia. The two heads of state announced that they will elevate the positioning of China Pakistan relations to a community of shared future for building a more just world and a more sustainable planet together.

President Lula and his wife Rosandra warmly welcomed Xi Jinping and held a grand welcoming ceremony for him.
The military band played the national anthems of China and Pakistan. The two heads of state watched the parade of honor guards together. Children from China and Pakistan wave the national flags of both countries to warmly welcome Xi Jinping. Brazilian artists sing 'My Motherland' in Chinese.

Xi Jinping pointed out that he is pleased to visit Brazil on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Pakistan, which is of great historical significance. Just now President Lula held a grand welcome ceremony with the highest courtesy for me, which fully reflects the great importance he attaches to China Pakistan relations and his deep friendship for the Chinese people. I am deeply moved. China and Brazil are the two major developing countries in the eastern and western hemispheres. Looking back on the past 50 years, China Pakistan relations have crossed mountains and seas, exploring the correct path of mutual respect, mutual benefit, friendship, and win-win cooperation among developing major countries. Brazil is the first country to establish a strategic partnership with China and the first Latin American country to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership with China. In recent years, under the strategic guidance of President Lula and I, the two countries have increasingly become reliable friends with a common destiny and a positive force for promoting peace. China Pakistan relations are at the best time in history, not only improving the well-being of the two peoples, but also safeguarding the common interests of developing countries, strengthening the power and voice of the global South, and making outstanding contributions to world peace and stability.
Xi Jinping emphasized that today we have elevated the positioning of China Pakistan relations to a community with a shared future for building a more just world and a more sustainable planet together. At the same time, we will align the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative with Brazil's development strategy. This is another historic moment in the development of China Pakistan relations, demonstrating the global, strategic, and long-term nature of the two countries' relations, meeting the common expectations of the two peoples, providing impetus and support for both sides to promote their respective modernization, and also demonstrating the determination of China and Pakistan to work together to uphold international fairness and justice and promote common development of the world. China is willing to work with Pakistan to continuously enrich the connotation of China Pakistan relations in the new era, with a focus on the future of humanity and the well-being of the people. We will become a "golden partner" for mutual achievements and continuously move towards the goal of building a community with a shared future for mankind, a more just world, and a more sustainable planet, making greater contributions to the cause of peace and progress for mankind.
Xi Jinping put forward four suggestions for the future development of bilateral relations.
One is to share destiny and continuously consolidate strategic mutual trust. We will firmly support each other on issues related to core interests such as sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity, and be strategic partners of mutual trust and a model of solidarity, cooperation, mutual benefit, and common development for countries in the global South. Strengthen cultural, educational, and youth exchanges, and consolidate the public opinion foundation of the China Pakistan community with a shared future.
The second is development and cooperation, continuously deepening the alignment of development strategies. Grasp the historical opportunity of the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" initiative and the docking of Brazil's development strategy, deepen cooperation in key areas such as economy and trade, infrastructure, finance, science and technology, and environmental protection, and strengthen cooperation in aerospace, agricultural science and technology, and clean energy. China has placed poverty alleviation at a prominent position in governance, supported Pakistan's "Zero Hunger" plan, and is willing to continue to strengthen cooperation with Pakistan in poverty reduction, so that the two peoples can live a better life.
Thirdly, we must shoulder responsibilities and work together to demonstrate the strength of China and Pakistan in safeguarding world peace and justice. Practice true multilateralism, adhere to speaking fairly and handling affairs, and promote the development of global governance towards a more just and reasonable direction. China attaches great importance to Brazil's international status and influence, supports Brazil to play a greater role on the international stage, and is willing to strengthen communication and coordination with Brazil in multilateral mechanisms such as the United Nations and BRICS countries. China also supports Brazil's presidency of BRICS next year, promoting the high-quality development of "Greater BRICS Cooperation" and making a louder voice for BRICS by adhering to multilateralism and improving global governance.
The fourth is to share weal and woe and make contributions to building a community with a shared future for mankind between China and Pakistan. As a developing major country, China and Pakistan should take the lead in consultation and discussion, promote mutual assistance, and work together to address global challenges that affect the future and destiny of humanity. Strengthen cooperation in areas such as green transformation, sustainable development, addressing climate change, and artificial intelligence governance. China is willing to support Brazil in hosting the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
Xi Jinping pointed out that 10 years ago, I announced the establishment of the China Latin America Forum with leaders of Latin American and Caribbean countries in Brasilia, promoting a new era of equality, mutual benefit, innovation, openness, and benefiting the people in China Latin America relations. China is willing to work with Pakistan to continue to successfully hold the China Latin America Forum, better align the "the Belt and Road" initiative with the development advantages and needs of Latin America and the Caribbean, and promote more achievements in the construction of the China Latin America community of common destiny.
Lula said that Brazil and China are good friends who respect and rely on each other. China is Brazil's most important strategic partner, and the Chinese people are the most trustworthy friends of the Brazilian people.   At the welcoming ceremony just now, I specially arranged for Brazilian artists to sing the famous Chinese song My Motherland, in order to thank China for its warm reception of my visit to China last year and express the profound friendship of the Brazilian people to the Chinese people. Over the past 50 years, cooperation between Pakistan and China in various fields has achieved fruitful results. The Pakistani side looks forward to taking President Xi Jinping's visit as a new starting point to promote more tangible new achievements in bilateral relations and work together to build a more just world and a more sustainable planet with a shared future between Pakistan and China. Brazil is vigorously promoting development strategies such as "accelerated growth plan", "new industrial plan" and "South American integration route plan", which are highly consistent with China's "the Belt and Road" initiative. Strengthening the docking of development strategies between the two sides will greatly help Brazil's reindustrialization process, promote South American integration, and set an example of solidarity, cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win results for developing countries. The working groups of both sides should intensify discussions and promote cooperation in key areas such as infrastructure, finance, industrial chain, technology, and ecological protection. Welcome more Chinese companies to invest and cooperate in Brazil. The Pakistani side looks forward to enhancing connectivity and logistics with China, promoting the common development and prosperity of Pakistan China and Latin America and China. The Pakistani side opposes the "new Cold War" and advocates promoting world multipolarity and a global partnership based on equality and mutual respect. It is willing to continue deepening communication and cooperation with China within multilateral frameworks such as the United Nations, BRICS countries, and the G20, in order to enhance the voice and influence of the global South in global governance. The Pakistani side is also willing to continue close multilateral cooperation with the Chinese side and make positive contributions to promoting the peaceful resolution of hot issues such as the Ukrainian crisis. President Xi Jinping's visit has become a new milestone in the history of Pakistan China relations, opening a new chapter in the construction of a community with a shared future between the two countries.
After the talks, the two heads of state jointly signed the Joint Statement between the People's Republic of China and the Federative Republic of Brazil on Building a China Pakistan Community with a Shared Future for a More Just World and a More Sustainable Planet.
The two heads of state jointly witnessed the signing of the Cooperation Plan between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil on the Joint Construction of the "the Belt and Road" Initiative and the "Accelerated Growth Plan", "Brazil's New Industrial Plan", "Ecological Transformation Plan" and "South American Integration Route Plan".
During the visit, the two sides also signed more than 30 bilateral cooperation documents in areas such as economy and trade, investment, agriculture, digital economy, sustainable development, science and technology, artificial intelligence, and global development cooperation.
