17 key enterprises signed contracts to settle in Hong Kong

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Office for Introducing Key Enterprises held a "Key Enterprise Partner Signing Ceremony" on the 11th, and a new batch of 17 key enterprises officially signed contracts to settle in Hong Kong. These 17 key enterprises come from industries such as life and health technology, artificial intelligence and data science, financial technology, as well as advanced manufacturing and new energy technology. Most of these companies will establish global or regional headquarters in Hong Kong. The introduction office, together with about 50 key enterprises introduced earlier, will invest a total of about HKD 42 billion in Hong Kong in the future, creating over 17000 jobs. While investing in Hong Kong, it will also actively drive upstream, midstream, and downstream enterprises in its industrial chain to come to Hong Kong. The Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Paul Chan, stated in his speech that the government has established mutually beneficial and symbiotic partnerships with key enterprises. On the one hand, Hong Kong's unique advantages under the "One Country, Two Systems" policy provide support for enterprises to further expand their regional business and expand globally; On the other hand, the settlement of key enterprises in Hong Kong will help promote the more vigorous development of the Hong Kong innovation and technology ecosystem. Chen Maobo pointed out that a series of policies announced in the recent policy address, including increasing investment in the innovation and technology industry, promoting the development of the northern metropolitan area, and enhancing innovation and technology cooperation with sister cities in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, will also benefit key enterprises and attract more enterprises to develop in Hong Kong. On that day, more than 200 representatives from key enterprises, local and foreign chambers of commerce, research institutions, universities, venture capital financial institutions, relevant departments of the special administrative region government, and public institutions attended the signing ceremony.
