China Airshow welcomes a large number of independently developed aerospace heavy vehicles

2024-11-13

On November 12, the 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition (hereinafter referred to as "China Air Show") was officially opened in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. At the exhibition, a large number of domestically developed aerospace heavy vehicles were unveiled, vividly reflecting the latest achievements in the development of China's aerospace industry. In the eye-catching exhibition hall of the Chang'e-6 probe, the 1:1 model of the Chang'e-6 landing and ascent combination and the 1:3 model of the Magpie Bridge 2 relay satellite brought by the Fifth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation catch people's attention. With the full communication support of the Magpie Bridge 2 relay satellite, from May 3 to June 25, 2024, the Chang'e-6 probe achieved for the first time in human history the return of samples from the far side of the moon. The Chang'e-6 landing and ascent combination exhibited this time was responsible for lunar landing, lunar sampling and packaging, and takeoff during the mission, leaving an eternal "Zhong" mark on the ancient lunar back, creating multiple records such as the first human spacecraft to sample and take off from the far side of the moon. The first human sample from the far side of the moon brought back by the probe weighs 1935.3 grams, and scientific research around the lunar sample is being carried out carefully. The Queqiao II relay satellite is the "main switch" of China's fourth phase of lunar exploration project. After the Chang'e-6 mission, the satellite will continue to provide relay communication support for the previously launched Chang'e-4 probe, as well as subsequent missions such as Chang'e-7, Chang'e-8, and the Future International Lunar Research Station. The appearance of fully reusable heavy rockets in heavy carrier rockets is an important symbol of comprehensive national strength and aerospace power, with mission scenarios covering deep space exploration and development, large-scale space strategic infrastructure construction, etc. At this year's air show, the First Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation exhibited three types of heavy-duty carrier rocket models, with a focus on the two-stage fully reusable configuration. It is reported that China's heavy carrier rocket development adopts the principle of "system planning, step-by-step implementation" and the development ideas of "modularization, generalization, and serialization", forming a series spectrum consisting of three-stage series configuration, two-stage series configuration, and two-stage completely reusable configuration. It will be divided into two stages to achieve heavy carrier capacity and complete reuse, covering various exploration mission requirements from near earth to deep space. Among them, in the first stage, universal first stage, disposable second stage, and hydrogen oxygen third stage modules will be developed, with a full rocket diameter of 10 meters, and a basic type of heavy rocket will be built (with a ground to moon transfer orbit carrying capacity of not less than 50 tons and a near earth orbit carrying capacity of not less than 100 tons), greatly improving China's space entry and exit capabilities; In the second phase, we will carry out multi adaptability two-level development, build a two-level fully reusable configuration, significantly reduce the cost of entering and exiting space, improve the efficiency of entering and exiting space, have the ability to transport space on a large scale, and build a world leading space transportation system. The Haolong cargo space shuttle made its debut at the press conference of the Shenzhou-19 manned flight mission held at the end of October. Lin Xiqiang, spokesperson for the China Manned Space Engineering, officially announced the progress of the selection of low-cost cargo spacecraft schemes. The Haolong cargo space shuttle scheme proposed by the Chengdu Aircraft Design and Research Institute of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China became one of the selected schemes. At this year's air show, the scaled model of Haolong cargo space shuttle made its debut. This equipment is a winged aircraft with a large wingspan and high speed ratio aerodynamic layout. The shield body is equipped with a large swept delta wing aircraft, taking into account the characteristics of both spacecraft and aircraft. It can be launched into orbit by a carrier rocket and land on an airport runway like an airplane. The Haolong cargo space shuttle has outstanding reusability, taking into account both up and down transportation of the space station. Compared with traditional cargo spacecraft, it has better economy and down transportation capacity. (New Society)
