Today, the Ministry of Public Security announced 5 typical cases of cracking down on the crime of manufacturing and selling counterfeit and inferior fire protection products in accordance with the law. 1、 Zhejiang public security organs have cracked the case of Wang Moulin and others producing and selling fake and inferior fire hoses. In June 2024, the public security organ of Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, according to the clues notified by the fire department, successfully solved the case, arrested 7 suspect, seized more than 6300 volumes of fake and inferior fire hose, more than 10 tons of semi-finished products and raw materials to be processed, and 5 production equipment on the scene, involving more than 40 million yuan. It is found that since 2021, the suspect Wang Moulin has registered a fire equipment limited company, which produces fake and inferior fire hoses by cutting corners and reducing costs, and sells them through online and offline channels. After appraisal, the involved fire hose is an unqualified product. 2、 Anhui public security organs have cracked the case of Zhang Mouhong and others producing and selling a series of fake and inferior fire extinguishers. In August 2024, the public security organs of Anhui Province, based on the actual combat of intelligence guided investigation, took the initiative to investigate the clues of cases, accurately study and judge the criminal chain, organized and carried out the concentrated crackdown on the crime of manufacturing and selling fake and inferior fire extinguishers, guided the public security organs in Hefei, Huaibei, Chuzhou, Xuancheng and other places to successfully crack the listed cases, beat down a number of trans regional criminal gangs that produce and sell fake and inferior fire extinguishers, captured 20 suspect, seized 63000 fake and inferior fire extinguishers on the scene, and involved more than 30 million yuan. After investigation, since 2022, Zhang and others have ordered a large number of low-priced "non-standard" fire extinguishers from multiple counterfeit production sites and sold them through e-commerce stores. After appraisal, the fire extinguisher involved is an unqualified product. 3、 The Guangdong public security organs have cracked the case of Jiang Moushan and others producing and selling fake and inferior fire extinguishers. In May 2024, the Public Security Department of Guangdong Province organized the public security organs of Dongguan City to carry out research and judgment, successfully solved the case, captured 7 suspect, and seized more than 5500 bottles of fire extinguishers of 22 specifications and models, as well as a large number of semi-finished products, involving more than 14 million yuan. Upon investigation, since March 2023, the suspect Jiang Moushan has registered and established a fire equipment limited company to organize the production and sales of "non-standard" portable fire extinguishers. After appraisal, the fire extinguisher involved is an unqualified product. 4、 The Chongqing public security organs have cracked the case of Ye Moupei and others producing and selling a series of fake and inferior fire extinguishers. In September 2024, Chongqing public security organs, in view of the characteristics of sunny, hot and hot summer weather, which is very likely to cause fires, took the initiative to cooperate with fire rescue and market supervision departments to carry out clue investigation around the quality of fire equipment, deeply investigate and solve a series of cases, captured 15 suspect, destroyed 18 criminal dens, and found more than 12000 fake and inferior fire extinguishers, more than 83000 semi-finished products, more than 120000 packaging materials, 19.3 tons of counterfeit raw materials, involving more than 23 million yuan. According to the investigation, since 2021, the suspect Ye Moupei and others have set up a fake factory to produce a large number of fake and inferior dry powder fire extinguishers for sale, with a total sales of more than 600000. After appraisal, the fire extinguisher involved is an unqualified product. 5、 The Sichuan public security organs have cracked the case of Huang Mouyun and others producing and selling a series of counterfeit and inferior fire protection products. Since 2024, according to the unified deployment of the Ministry of Public Security, the Public Security Department of Sichuan Province has organized public security organs in Chengdu, Zigong, Deyang, Mianyang, Nanchong, Yibin, Dazhou and other places to set up special classes to carry out special research and judgment on the crime of manufacturing and selling fake and shoddy fire protection products. A series of cases have been successfully solved, 44 suspect such as Huang Mouyun have been captured, 47 criminal dens have been destroyed, 13 criminal gangs have been killed, and more than 69000 fake and shoddy dry powder extinguishers (fire extinguisher cans), more than 110000 meters of fire hoses, more than 50000 filtered fire self rescue respirators, 98 tons of dry powder raw materials for fire extinguishers have been found on the scene, involving 130 million yuan. The chain breaks the criminal chain of producing and selling fake and inferior fire-fighting products. After appraisal, the fire protection products involved are unqualified products. (New Society)
