The 15th Cross Strait Children's Art Exhibition attracted many children to come and watch. The 15th Cross Strait Children's Art Exhibition with the theme of "Together" opened on November 3 at the Today Art Museum in Beijing. A total of 240 sets of youth art works were exhibited, creating a "Children's Painting World" that connects the two sides of the Taiwan Strait through art. The connotation of 'together' is broad enough, it refers to the interaction and cooperation between cities and villages, adults and children, civilization and time, and other dimensions between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait In the view of curator Zhou Ying, children's paintings with a soft and gentle core are a force that connects the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. "This gentle and firm, flowing force can infect and move people, inspiring everyone to work together for an ideal future. Teenagers from different regions present the theme of "together" with works of different content and styles. Taiwanese children invite visitors with paintings to "climb onto Taipei 101 Building", "play tea together", and "dance with Taiwan's ethnic minorities"; Xinjiang children depict the leisurely autumn scenery of cows and sheep on the pasture; Shaanxi children walk the hometown path with their friends in the painting... The "star exhibit" of this exhibition belongs to "Brothers Together" created by Tainan children. In the painting, giant pandas from mainland China share food with black bears from Taiwan, accompanied by animals such as peacocks, red pandas, leopard cats, sika deer, and Taiwanese blue magpies above. The adorable and silly image attracts many viewers to stop and watch. As one of the organizers of the exhibition in Taiwan, Huang Qiuru, Vice President of Taiwan's China Daily News, is very fond of this artwork. This painting is quite popular on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. It is a simple expression of children's hope for peaceful development and mutual love. "Huang Qiuru said that teenagers can see more vivid customs and traditions on both sides of the Taiwan Strait through each other's children's paintings, and also bridge the gap from a subtle perspective. Long Niannan, a senior art teacher at the China Children's Center, has been a judge for 15 consecutive exhibitions. He recalled that when he first went to Taiwan 30 years ago, there were significant differences in art paintings between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. With the increasingly close economic, cultural, and social exchanges between the two sides over the past few decades, the differences in painting techniques gradually faded, while the shared Eastern charm and spiritual connotations of Chinese culture in the paintings became more prominent. Over the past 15 years, this exhibition has collected nearly 300000 pieces of youth works from 31 provinces, regions, and cities in mainland China, as well as Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao. More than 80 exhibitions have been held across the Taiwan Strait, with over one million visitors. This exhibition will last until November 12th, during which the Taiwan Tour Season Kaohsiung Exhibition will also be held simultaneously. (New Society)
