Recently, the Public Security Bureau of Mayang Miao Autonomous County, Huaihua City, Hunan Province, cracked a major foreign exchange trading case involving "XXX Network Technology Co., Ltd.", and all 30 members of the gang were arrested. In February of this year, the Public Security Bureau of Huaihua City, Hunan Province, discovered that "XXX Network Technology Co., Ltd." in Hecheng District, Huaihua City had established a large number of chat groups and used a lot of "code language" for communication in group chats. The police found that this company has significant suspicion of using information networks for illegal and criminal activities. So, the Huaihua Public Security Bureau immediately assigned the clue to the Mayang Miao Autonomous County Public Security Bureau for investigation. The Mayang police quickly established a special task force to investigate this case. After investigation, Peng and Jiang established "XXX Network Technology Co., Ltd." without obtaining a foreign exchange trading license. They built a VPS (Virtual Private Server) and relied on third-party chat software to contact foreign customers. They purchased US dollars in bank wire transfers and promissory notes from Chinese food delivery customers at a lower exchange rate, and then sold them at a markup to domestic peers or other Chinese customers in the United States. Customers paid RMB to Peng and Jiang through domestic and foreign exchange, thus achieving a closed trading loop. Peng, Jiang, and others profited from the price difference. The case involves multiple provinces and cities, with a total amount of over 100 million yuan involved. After obtaining a large amount of criminal evidence from Peng Mouhan and others, the special task force carried out a crackdown on the gang. By October 8th, all over 30 members involved in the case had been brought to justice, and the major foreign exchange trading case involving "XXX Network Technology Co., Ltd." was successfully solved. More than 100 computers, mobile phones, USB drives and other tools used for committing crimes were seized on site, with a total amount involved of over 20 million yuan. At present, this case is being transferred to the local procuratorial organ for prosecution. (New Society)
