Recently, the Islamic Association of China held a symposium on the publication of "Selected Annotations on the Quran" (Chinese version). Chen Ruifeng, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the State Administration for Religious Affairs, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting focused on how to make good use of the Chinese version of the Quran excerpts and annotations, and to play a positive role in academic guidance, preaching, and research. The meeting believes that the Chinese version of the Quran Excerpts and Annotations is an important achievement in the sinicization of Islam in China, and its publication and distribution will undoubtedly promote the deepening and implementation of the sinicization of Islam in China. The meeting proposed to strengthen the training of teaching staff, help them accurately understand and grasp the content of the Quran Excerpts and Annotations (Chinese version), and make the Quran Excerpts and Annotations (Chinese version) the designated teaching material for Islamic schools. To integrate the interpretation and preaching of the scriptures, and guide the majority of Islamic and Muslim people to understand the scriptures, understand their meanings, and practice righteousness. We need to deepen the study of the Quran, focusing on major theoretical and practical issues such as classic doctrines, ideological concepts, religious rules and systems, and ritual customs, in order to promote the healthy inheritance of Islam in China.
