Quarantine pests detected for the first time at Yuncheng Airport Port
2024-10-31
On the 30th, it was learned from Taiyuan Customs that during the supervision of inbound passengers' luggage at the Yuncheng Air Port, officials from the Yuncheng Customs under Taiyuan Customs seized one bag of Dragon Palace fruit from a passenger's suitcase after conducting an on-site unpacking inspection. After laboratory identification, two types of quarantine harmful organisms were detected, namely, oceanic gluteal stripe scabies and new pineapple ash scabies. At present, the customs have intercepted, destroyed and disposed of the batch of fruits in accordance with regulations. Customs reminder: According to the "List of Animals, Plants, Their Products, and Other Quarantine Items Prohibited from Carrying or Sending into the People's Republic of China", fresh fruits are prohibited from being carried or sent into the country. Carrying fruits that have not been inspected and qualified into the country without authorization may lead to the introduction of plant epidemics, posing a threat to the production safety and ecological security of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery in China.
