China's first offshore oil and gas equipment manufacturing 'smart factory' fully put into operation
2024-10-30
The second phase of the Tianjin Intelligent Manufacturing Base project of CNOOC Engineering was officially put into operation in the Binhai New Area of Tianjin on the 30th, marking the completion of China's first "intelligent factory" for offshore oil and gas equipment. The Tianjin Intelligent Manufacturing Base of CNOOC Engineering covers an area of approximately 575000 square meters and will be constructed in two phases. The first phase of the project will be put into operation in June 2022, and the second phase will start construction in July 2023. After the second phase of the project is put into operation, the core facilities of the base, including 4 intelligent production workshops, 8 production auxiliary centers, 16 final assembly stations, and a dock suitable for large ships to dock, will be fully built, and the production capacity can be doubled. Traditional marine oil and gas equipment manufacturing has significant characteristics such as multiple product types, long manufacturing processes, high customization ratios, and low standardization levels. The phenomenon of data silos in various production processes is severe, making it extremely difficult to achieve intelligence. CNOOC Engineering has independently developed the first integrated intelligent manufacturing management platform for offshore platforms in China, investing more than 600 sets of advanced intelligent production equipment to achieve full process intelligence from project control, workshop construction to factory management. It has also applied more than 10 green and low-carbon advanced technologies such as sponge factory water cycle, photovoltaic power generation, and intelligent waste gas treatment, providing a replicable and promotable model for promoting the intelligent and green development of the manufacturing industry. Since the first phase of the project was put into use, CNOOC Engineering Tianjin Intelligent Manufacturing Base has completed the construction of 35 offshore platforms, with a cumulative shipment of over 87000 tons. The overall production line efficiency has increased by nearly 20%, and the final assembly efficiency has increased by more than 30%. (New Society)
