G20 Business Summit focuses on trade system and sustainable development

The 2024 G20 Business Summit will be held in S ã o Paulo, Brazil from the 24th to the 25th. Representatives from the G20 business community will discuss and release relevant reports on topics such as the trading system and sustainable development. The G20 Business Summit released a report on the 25th proposing two basic codes of conduct on digital inclusivity and cybersecurity, as well as seven recommendations to improve international trade efficiency through digitization. Vice President and Minister of Development, Industry and Trade of Brazil, Alcmin, stated at the closing ceremony of the summit that the proposals put forward by the G20 business sector are highly consistent with the G20's priorities and aim to establish a more equitable and sustainable global economic system. He said that the recommendations put forward at the G20 Business Summit represent the interests of the business sector and also cover the challenges it faces, including trade system reform, green infrastructure investment and technological innovation, as well as promoting gender equality. As the chair of the G20 this year, Brazil plays an important role in promoting global cooperation in sustainable trade, green transformation, and gender equality. As an important supporting event of the G20 mechanism, the G20 Business Summit is an important platform for the business communities of various countries to participate in global economic governance and promote world economic growth.
