The second phase of the 136th Canton Fair was successfully held from October 23rd to 27th. The second phase continued the hot momentum of the first phase, with exhibiting companies moving towards "novelty" and pursuing excellence through "quality", accelerating the development of new quality productivity, innovative products emerging one after another, new and old buyers coming in droves, active on-site negotiations, and positive results in trade cooperation. 1、 The number of overseas buyers continues to grow. As of October 27th, a total of 199000 overseas buyers from 212 countries and regions attended the conference, an increase of 3.4% compared to the same period last year. Among them, 130000 purchasers from countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road", accounting for 65.6%, up 4.8%; 41000 buyers from BRICS countries, accounting for 20.8%, an increase of 2.2%; 41000 European and American buyers, accounting for 20.8%, an increase of 6.1%; 27000 Middle Eastern buyers, accounting for 13.7%, an increase of 37.4%. Overseas buyers highly recognize high-quality Chinese manufacturing and state that the Canton Fair is an important bridge for them to explore cooperation opportunities and an excellent stage for achieving mutual benefit and win-win results. 2、 Innovative products lead the trend. The biggest highlight of the second phase is' green, innovative, and fashionable '. In this issue, there are over 2300 high-quality enterprises with titles such as National High tech Enterprise, Manufacturing Single Champion, and Specialized, Refined, Unique, and New Little Giant, an increase of nearly 900 compared to the previous edition. The second phase of enterprises uploaded a total of 910000 new products, green and low-carbon products, independent intellectual property rights, and intelligent products on the online platform, accounting for 57% of the total number of exhibits in the second phase. Green and low-carbon products are distributed in every corner of the exhibition area, becoming a "weapon" for enterprises to explore the market and highly favored by overseas buyers. A total of 345 new product launch events were held both online and offline, attracting approximately 2500 buyers to attend and negotiate, helping new products quickly open up the market. The 2024 Canton Fair Design Innovation Award (CF Award) ceremony was held, with a total of 147 awards from 120 companies, showcasing the strong strength and new image of "Made in China" and "Created in China" in striving for innovation, quality, and brand. 3、 The trade promotion activities are exciting and diverse. A total of 275 successful "Trade Bridge" Canton Fair promotions and global supply and procurement docking activities have been held, among which 262 supply and procurement docking activities have attracted over 560 buyers and more than 1370 suppliers for online "one-on-one" docking and negotiation. Collaborating with 96 participating companies, we held 15 "Haobao Haoni Explore Guangzhou" events to showcase our innovative products, with a total of approximately 6 million views. Organize 38 professional conferences and events, release 8 trend themed reports, and contribute the wisdom of the Canton Fair to help enterprises grasp industry and market trends, promote industrial development and trade cooperation. 4、 Empower each other online and offline. The content displayed on the second online platform is more abundant, and the dual line drainage effect is more significant. The online package launched meets the personalized and differentiated needs of enterprises, helping them accurately connect with overseas buyers, and assisting them in obtaining orders and expanding their markets. The second phase of the enterprise uploaded a total of 1.59 million exhibits and attracted 943000 overseas visitors. The newly launched Canton Fair APP has attracted nearly 70000 downloads and users, providing convenient and efficient mobile services for exhibitors and merchants. The participating companies stated that the online platform of the Canton Fair, which will never end, effectively breaks through the time and space limitations of offline exhibitions, realizing the intelligence, convenience, and normalization of various aspects such as exhibition display, supply and procurement docking, business negotiation, and information exchange, greatly enhancing the participation experience and creating more opportunities for future trade transactions with overseas buyers. The third phase of the 136th Canton Fair will be held from October 31 to November 4, with the theme of "Better Life". It will showcase 21 exhibition areas in five major categories: toys and maternity and baby products, fashion, home textiles, stationery, and health and leisure. There will be 11703 offline exhibitors, including 257 companies from 29 countries and regions participating in the import exhibition.
