The Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held a meeting on October 28th to review the comprehensive report on the third round of inspections by the 20th Central Committee. General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Xi Jinping presided over the meeting.
The meeting pointed out that under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core, the inspection work adheres to the theme of focusing on the center and serving the overall situation, highlighting problem orientation and implementing strict measures, innovating organizational methods, deepening top-down linkage, and continuously demonstrating the role of the sword. From the inspection results, it can be seen that the party building of central and state organs, as well as centrally managed financial units, has been strengthened, and new achievements have been made in various work, but there are also some problems. We must seriously and conscientiously carry out inspection and rectification, strengthen the political responsibility of the "top leaders" and members of the leadership team, enhance the organization, coordination, and daily supervision of inspection and rectification, combine inspection and rectification with deepening reform, comprehensive strict governance of the Party, leadership and cadre team construction, integrate into daily work and functional responsibilities, and promote high-quality development with the effectiveness of rectification.
The meeting emphasized that party committees (party groups) at all levels should continuously improve their political positions, strengthen their political responsibilities in fulfilling their duties, dare to do good deeds, overcome difficulties, and take the initiative to share the worries of the party and fulfill their responsibilities for the country. We must conscientiously implement the deployment of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and grasp the implementation of reform tasks with the spirit of nailing down nails. We need to enhance our awareness of potential risks, coordinate development and security, focus on preventing and resolving risks in key areas, and firmly guard the bottom line of security. We need to strengthen the construction of the leadership team, strictly implement democratic centralism, promote the ability of leading cadres to rise and fall, and continuously enhance cohesion and combat effectiveness. We must have a clear understanding of the situation in the fight against corruption, deepen the comprehensive strict governance of the Party, and carry out the fight against corruption to the end with a thorough spirit of self revolution. We must adhere to the integrated promotion of not daring to be corrupt, not being corrupt, and not wanting to be corrupt, deepen the comprehensive and systematic treatment of corruption, continuously maintain the high-pressure situation of punishing corruption, continuously improve the mechanism of power allocation and operation constraints, focus on eradicating the soil and conditions that breed corruption, and promote the normalization and long-term prevention and governance of corruption problems.
