On October 29th, President Xi Jinping sent a telegram to King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia, congratulating him on his 20th anniversary of coronation.
Xi Jinping pointed out that since King Norodom Sihamoni ascended to the throne, he has made important contributions to peace, stability, development and revitalization, and international exchanges in Cambodia, and has long been committed to promoting the traditional friendship between China and Cambodia. Under our joint leadership, the China Cambodia community of common destiny has entered a new era of high quality, high level and high standards. The "diamond six sided" cooperation framework has continued to deepen and consolidate. Positive progress has been made in the construction of the "industrial development corridor" and the "fish and rice corridor". The "China Cambodia Year of People to People and Cultural Exchange" has been held with great vitality, bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples.
I attach great importance to the development of China Cambodia relations and highly value the traditional friendship with the Cambodian royal family. I am willing to work together with King Sihamoni to strengthen the strategic guidance of bilateral relations and promote the construction of a community with a shared future between China and Cambodia to achieve more results.
