China aims to launch the Shenzhou-19 manned spacecraft at 4:27 am Beijing time on October 30th. The flight crew consists of astronauts Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong, and Wang Haoze. On the morning of October 29th, the press conference for the Shenzhou-19 manned flight mission was held at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. Lin Xiqiang, spokesperson for the China Manned Space Engineering and deputy director of the China Manned Space Engineering Office, stated at the meeting that after research and decision by the mission headquarters, China aims to launch the Shenzhou-19 manned spacecraft at 4:27 am on October 30th. The flight crew consists of astronauts Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong, and Wang Haoze, with Cai Xuzhe serving as the commander. Lin Xiqiang introduced that Cai Xuzhe had carried out the Shenzhou XIV manned flight mission; Song Lingdong and Wang Haoze are both the third batch of astronauts in China, both born in the 1990s, and both are on their first flight missions. Before being selected, Song Lingdong was an Air Force pilot; Before being selected, Wang Haoze was a senior engineer at the Aerospace Propulsion Technology Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. She is currently the only female aerospace flight engineer in China and will also be the third woman in China to carry out manned spaceflight missions He said. At present, the preparations for the mission are steadily advancing, and the Long March 2F Y19 carrier rocket that will carry out this launch mission is about to be refueled with propellant. This mission is the fourth manned flight mission in the application and development stage of the space station, and also the 33rd manned space engineering flight mission. The main purpose of the mission is to complete in orbit rotation with the crew of Shenzhou 18, stay in the space station for about 6 months, conduct space science and application experiments, carry out astronaut extravehicular activities and cargo entry and exit, install space debris protection devices, extravehicular payloads and extravehicular equipment, carry out science education and public welfare activities, as well as space carrying experiments, further improve the operational efficiency of the space station, and continue to exert comprehensive application benefits. According to the plan, the Shenzhou-19 manned spacecraft will adopt an autonomous rapid rendezvous and docking mode after entering orbit, and will dock at the forward port of the Tianhe core module about 6.5 hours later, forming a three ship three cabin combination. During the in orbit stay, the crew of Shenzhou-19 astronauts will receive visits from Tianzhou-8 cargo spacecraft and Shenzhou-20 manned spacecraft, with plans to return to the Dongfeng landing site in late April or early May 2025. At present, the quality of ship and rocket flight products is under control, the astronaut crew is in good condition, the ground system facilities and equipment are operating stably, the space station assembly is in normal condition, and all preparations before launch are ready Lin Xiqiang introduced that after completing in orbit rotation with the crew of Shenzhou 19, the crew of Shenzhou 18 is scheduled to return to the Dongfeng landing site on November 4th.
