On October 27th, in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, the candidate of the main opposition coalition, the Broad Front, Armando Orsi, delivered a speech during the election campaign. The voting for the 2024 Uruguayan general election ended on the evening of the 27th local time. The preliminary vote count results released by the Uruguayan Electoral Court in the early morning of the 28th local time showed that in the presidential election, the main opposition party coalition's Broad Front candidate, Armando Orsi, and the ruling party's National Party (White Party) candidate, Alvaro Delgado, received about 970000 and about 600000 votes respectively, ranking first and second among the 11 candidates.
