On October 25th, the press conference for the "Thirteenth Five Year Plan" National Science and Technology Major Project Achievement - HIV-1 DNA Load Detection Kit - was held at the Integrated Media Center in Huangpu District, Guangzhou. Professor Zhutov stated that the successful approval of the HIV DNA load detection kit is a landmark achievement funded by the National Science and Technology Major Project during the 13th Five Year Plan period and a major achievement of the country. This achievement has been verified by hundreds of experts from more than 80 mainstream teams in the field of AIDS across the country for more than 10 years. Its achievements cannot be separated from the joint efforts of the government, universities and the national leading scientist team. As a national level "little giant" enterprise specializing in special and new technologies, Hailite has widely used this disruptive technology product in the field of AIDS, and further developed a series of innovative products by using the advantages of existing technology, and deeply integrated with the upstream and downstream industrial chains and talent chains to promote the formation of a precise prevention and control program for AIDS based on China's original disruptive products, and promoted its application worldwide. Chen Ying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Jinan University, delivered a speech. Professor Wang Tong, a researcher at the School of Life Sciences and Technology of Jinan University and a special envoy for Guangdong enterprises of Guangzhou Hailite Biotechnology Co., Ltd., gave a report on the project's achievements - the world's first HIV-1 DNA load detection reagent. Wang Tong said that the reagent was selected into the "13th Five Year" National Science and Technology Innovation Achievement Exhibition in the process of research and development. At the same time, the leading team of scientists in the field of AIDS in China directly guided the update of two national guidelines for AIDS detection and diagnosis and treatment based on the research results of the product, and published hundreds of real world research papers at home and abroad, forming a AIDS diagnosis and treatment program around HIV DNA load detection, which also became one of the outstanding achievements of the talent work of the innovation leading team in Guangzhou. Furthermore, Wang Tong comprehensively introduced the deep cooperation projects, outstanding achievements, and future plans between Jinan University and Hailite Biotechnology in talent cultivation, collaborative research, and industrialization. The signing ceremony for the school enterprise joint construction laboratory was held at the same time as this press conference. The project signing ceremony was jointly initiated by Professor Wang Tong from Jinan University (appointed project leader by the university) and Dr. Wu Caihong, Chief Technology Officer of Hailite Biotechnology (appointed project leader by the enterprise). The launch of this joint laboratory marks a further deep integration between Jinan University and Hailite Biotechnology around the transformation of industry, academia and research and talent cultivation. The Jinan University Hailite "Micro Precision Medicine" Joint Laboratory mainly focuses on the research, development, achievement transformation, and promotion of disruptive new technologies and processes for micro precision medicine detection in the fields of major infectious diseases and cancer.
