At the press conference held by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment on the same day, Pei Xiaofei introduced that in the first three quarters, the average number of days with good air quality in 339 prefecture level and above cities in China was 85.8%, an increase of 1.6 percentage points year-on-year; The proportion of days with average severe and above pollution was 1.1%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.7 percentage points. The national average concentration of PM2.5 is 27 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 3.6%; The average concentration of PM10 was 47 micrograms per cubic meter, a year-on-year decrease of 7.8%. From the perspective of key regions, the average concentration of PM2.5 in "2+36" cities in Beijing Tianjin Hebei and surrounding areas remained unchanged year-on-year, with an increase of 4.1 percentage points in the proportion of excellent days and a decrease of 1.9 percentage points in the proportion of severe and above pollution days. The average concentration of PM2.5 in 31 cities in the Yangtze River Delta region increased by 6.7% year-on-year, the proportion of excellent days decreased by 0.9 percentage points year-on-year, and the proportion of severe and above pollution days decreased by 0.3 percentage points year-on-year. The average concentration of PM2.5 in 13 cities in the Fenwei Plain decreased by 5.1% year-on-year, the proportion of excellent days increased by 2.5 percentage points year-on-year, and the proportion of severe and above pollution days decreased by 2.7 percentage points year-on-year. It is reported that in terms of surface water environmental quality, among 3641 national surface water assessment sections, the proportion of sections with excellent water quality (Class I-III) is 88.5%, an increase of 1.4 percentage points year-on-year; The proportion of inferior Class V sections was 0.7%, unchanged year-on-year. Among them, the proportion of sections with excellent water quality (Class I-III) in the seven major river basins such as the Yangtze River and Yellow River, as well as the rivers in the northwest, southwest, and Zhejiang Fujian regions, was 90.0%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points year-on-year; The proportion of inferior Class V sections is 0.4%, a year-on-year decrease of 0.1 percentage points. During the same period, 78.6% of the 210 key lakes and reservoirs monitored had excellent water quality (Class I-III), an increase of 4.0 percentage points year-on-year; The proportion of lakes and reservoirs with poor Class V water quality is 4.3%, which is the same as the same period last year.
