This year marks the 6th anniversary of the opening of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge. According to statistics from Gongbei Customs, since the opening of the bridge on October 23, 2018, as of October 20 this year, the customs has inspected and released a total of 12.7388 million inbound and outbound vehicles. Among them, there were 10.5049 million passenger cars and 2.2339 million trucks. Since the implementation of the "Macau car northbound" and "Hong Kong car northbound" policies in 2023, as of October 20th, the customs has inspected and released a total of 3.831 million single license plate vehicles from Hong Kong and Macau at the Daqiao Port. At present, single license plate vehicles from Hong Kong and Macao account for more than 60% of the total number of inbound and outbound passenger vehicles, and have become the main "engine" driving the rapid growth of the number of inbound and outbound vehicles. At present, the daily average inbound and outbound traffic flow at the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge Port is about 16200 vehicles, and the maximum daily traffic flow has exceeded 22800 vehicles.
