2024-10-21
The film "The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting" was recently released in various cinemas in Macao. The pre screening viewing event of the film invites cultural figures, schools, youth organizations, and business people from Macau to participate and experience the audio-visual experience of traditional Chinese culture together. The film "The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting" is adapted from the dance drama of the same name. The whole film has no lines. Through the film language, music and dance are performed, vividly showing the process of the young painter Xi Meng, the silk weaver, the pen maker, the ink maker, the stone grinder, the seal carver and other young painters working together to draw the epic "A Thousand Miles Map of Rivers and Mountains", full of exquisite Chinese aesthetics. Macau was the first release location of the film outside of mainland China. Wu Zhiliang, president of the Macao Federation of Cultural Circles, said that "The Journey of a Legendary Landscape Painting" not only enriched the film types of the Macao film market, but also provided Macao audiences with an opportunity to comprehensively perceive and appreciate the traditional intangible cultural heritage of China. I hope more friends can come and watch this movie, which can serve as a bridge for spreading excellent traditional Chinese culture in Macau. Liu Changmei, the importer of the film in Macau, stated that the purpose of introducing the film is to enable more young people in Macau to experience Chinese aesthetics. The painstaking creative process of Ximeng in the film and the broad mindedness of "if one can tolerate the mountains and valleys in their heart, only by writing can they paint the mountains and rivers" are inspiring for the younger generation and worth watching for parents and children. The viewing event is hosted by the Macau Cultural Federation and organized by the Macau distributor, Xicai Culture. (New Society)
