Recently, the establishment of the "Technology Achievement Transformation Clinic" by East China Normal University has attracted media attention. The "Annual Report on the Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements in China (Higher Education Institutions and Research Institutes)" recently released by the Science and Technology Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology shows that as of the end of 2023, only 1038 universities and institutes have established technology transfer institutions that are suitable for their own characteristics, accounting for only 25.77% of the 4028 universities and institutes participating in the survey. Moreover, among the established technology transfer institutions in universities, there are generally problems such as dispersed functional positioning and low service level, and their ability to undertake the responsibilities, missions, and capabilities of technology transfer in universities is relatively limited. In the process of rapid economic and social development, the role of universities in technology transfer has shifted from indirect promotion to direct leadership. Their scientific research results can be directly applied in the market under their leadership, thereby generating economic and social benefits. As a specialized technology transfer institution, its core advantage lies in the ability to leverage professional talents, communicate between the supply and demand sides of technology transfer, and provide comprehensive services for university technology transfer activities. Under policy guidance, governments at all levels should accelerate the construction of specialized institutions for technology transfer, fully stimulate the enthusiasm of teachers and inventors as research subjects through benefit distribution mechanisms, and transform their research results through flexible technology transfer methods. Through the integration of industry, academia, and research, efforts should be made to improve the construction of technology transfer institutions, create an innovative and entrepreneurial culture, strengthen industry university research cooperation and innovation, and enhance policy support to improve the quality and efficiency of technology transfer in universities. As the main body of scientific research and innovation in universities, scientific researchers should actively transform their ideological concepts and establish a "big scientific research concept" of "having a big self and sincerely serving the country" to actively serve the development of the country and the times. The vast number of teachers and their research teams in universities have profound professional subject knowledge and outstanding talents. They not only undertake the responsibility of scientific research and development, but are also the backbone of major scientific research and development. They are also the main force in the supply side of technology transfer, and the core force in promoting knowledge innovation and scientific research and development. In the process of technology transfer in universities, the professional quality of the group of scientific researchers profoundly affects the smooth implementation and effectiveness of technology transfer. The group of university teachers should establish a scientific and systematic understanding of the transformation of scientific research achievements, and achieve "upholding integrity and innovation". Specifically, it is necessary to firmly uphold the practical spirit of pursuing truth and rigorous scholarship that is essential for scientific research work, as well as the spirit of dedication that is indifferent to fame and fortune and devoted to research; We must also strengthen the mission and responsibility entrusted by the times, integrate our personal "ego" into the "big self" of the Party, the country, society, and the development of the times with the patriotic spirit of cherishing the motherland and serving the people. We must use the innovative spirit of daring to climb new heights and be the first, the collaborative spirit of gathering wisdom and tackling problems, and the educational spirit of being willing to serve as a ladder and rewarding future students to motivate ourselves to constantly innovate in theory.
