At a recent event, the development unit of the "Xiangyun" AS700 manned airship, China Aviation Industry Group Special Flight Institute, handed over the airship delivery commemorative key to Guangxi Guilin Ark General Aviation Co., Ltd., and signed a purchase order for 12 airships with the company and China Kanghui Tourism Group Co., Ltd. This means that the development, production, certification, and delivery of domestically produced manned airships will be fully integrated and will soon begin commercial operation. The "Xiangyun" AS700 is the first manned airship independently developed by China Aviation Industry Corporation in accordance with airworthiness regulations and has complete independent intellectual property rights. The "Xiangyun" AS700 manned airship has a maximum range of 700 kilometers, a maximum endurance of 10 hours, a maximum designed flight speed of 100 kilometers per hour, a maximum flight altitude of 3100 meters, and can carry up to 10 people (including 1 pilot) at a time. The airship has achieved "three firsts", namely the first localization of the main materials of the airship and the improvement of the supply chain system for manned airships; The first breakthrough in lightweight and low-cost capsule structure design has enhanced the market competitiveness of manned airships; The key technology of synchronous servo control of airship thrust vector has been achieved for the first time, which has improved the adaptability of manned airships to takeoff and landing conditions.
