He stated that the SAR government will accelerate the promotion of projects related to economic and housing development in the northern metropolitan area while maintaining stable public finances, and the northern metropolitan area will gradually enter the harvest period. Li Jiachao introduced that in the next five years, about 60000 housing units will be completed in the northern metropolitan area, including about 10 new public housing estates; The first batch of land in Xintian Science and Technology City will be launched into the market; The new Huanggang Port building, which will implement the "one place, two inspections" policy, will also be completed. In the second five years, there will be an additional approximately 150000 newly completed housing units; More than 10 million square meters of total floor area are used for economic purposes. In terms of transportation infrastructure, the main line of the Northern Ring Road will be completed in 2034, and the Beidu Highway (Xintian section) is expected to be opened in 2036. He believes that this will greatly drive economic development, promote the development of research and technology industries, provide better living environments, help attract and retain talents, and improve the quality of life of citizens, benefiting people's livelihoods and adding happiness. Li Jiachao stated that the SAR government will seek funding for the first phase of the infrastructure project of Xintian Science and Technology City, which will begin within this year. The goal is to gradually launch about 20 hectares of new technology land from 2026 to 2027, which will be developed and operated by the Science and Technology Park Corporation. (New Society)
