The Education University of Hong Kong established the "Principal and Teacher Collaborative Innovation Training Center" on its Tai Po campus on the 15th, and held the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Training Course for Primary and Secondary School Principals and Teachers, aiming to enhance mutual understanding among teachers and strengthen national identity. It is reported that this event is hosted by the Education University of Hong Kong and the China Education Association. Vice Minister of Education Wang Jiayi expressed in his speech that he hopes to promote the integrated development of education and jointly build an important education center with global influence through building platforms and collaborative empowerment. Cai Ruolian, Secretary for Education of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, expressed her hope that Hong Kong and mainland education workers will work together to continuously pursue excellence in their professions, leverage synergies, stimulate educational innovation vitality, and jointly build the dream of a strong education country. On the same day, the opening ceremony of the "Bacon Casting Soul, Enlightenment, and Wisdom Enhancement - Primary and Secondary School Textbook Exhibition and Book Donation Activity" was held at the Tai Po Campus of the Hong Kong University of Education. This event is hosted by the Education University of Hong Kong and People's Education Press. The "Bacon Builds Soul, Ignites Wisdom, and Enhances Wisdom - Exhibition of Primary and Secondary School Textbooks" will be held from now until June 30, 2025, with the aim of showcasing selected primary and secondary school textbooks published by institutions such as People's Education Press and Higher Education Press, and showcasing the achievements of textbook compilation and development since the founding of the People's Republic of China. In addition, the Education University of Hong Kong and the People's Education Press jointly held a seminar on the construction of teaching materials for primary and secondary schools in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau on that day, aiming to improve the quality of evidence-based teaching materials and explore the direction and challenges of future education development.
