Exhibition of Achievements in the Construction of National Cultural and Ecological Protection Zones in Six Central Provinces Debuts in Shanxi Province

On the 14th, the "Home in the Heart of Intangible Cultural Heritage Fireworks" exhibition of the construction achievements of national cultural and ecological protection zones in six provinces in central China is currently being held at the Wangjia Courtyard Scenic Area in Jinzhong, Shanxi. This exhibition showcases a total of 1522 pieces (sets) of exhibits, involving 126 intangible cultural heritage projects in six central provinces. The exhibition is jointly organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shanxi Province and the People's Governments of Jinzhong, Taiyuan, and Lvliang cities, aiming to showcase the fruitful achievements of the six central provinces in the construction of national cultural ecological protection zones and promote the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage. The exhibition is themed around "home" and brings together representative intangible cultural heritage projects from six provinces: Henan, Anhui, Hubei, Jiangxi, Hunan, and Shanxi. Leveraging the borderless immersive exhibition hall advantage of the Wang Family Courtyard, the exhibition presents "home" from multiple perspectives such as family, hometown, homeland, and country in a diversified, visualized, and scenarized manner. The exhibition showcases the unique charm and profound heritage of intangible cultural heritage projects in the six central provinces through five units. On the day of the event, intangible cultural heritage projects from six provinces, including Zuoquan Xiaohua Opera, Heluo Drum Dance, Huizhou Folk Songs, Gannan Tea Picking Opera, Xiangxi Miao Folk Songs, and Southwest Hubei Baobao Bronze Bell Dance, were staged one after another. Representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage such as Majie Book Fair, Shouyang Stilt Bamboo Horse Opera, Taiyuan Yangge Dance, and Xiaoyi Puppet Show interacted with tourists in the scenic area. These intangible cultural heritage projects not only showcase the unique cultural characteristics of various regions, but also showcase the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the Chinese nation. This exhibition has provided a platform for cultural exchange and cooperation among the six provinces, promoting the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage skills Qiao Yanli, Director of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Department of Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, introduced that "this exhibition has created an immersive cultural experience space for tourists and a platform for intangible cultural heritage inheritors to communicate closely with the public. This exhibition is a concentrated display of intangible cultural heritage projects and an in-depth dissemination of cultural ecological protection concepts.
