On October 11th, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China and President Xi Jinping met with Liang Qiang, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Executive Secretary of the Central Secretariat, at the Great Hall of the People.
Xi Jinping pointed out that adhering to the leadership of the Communist Party and the socialist system is the most essential feature of China and Vietnam, and also the most solid political foundation for developing China Vietnam relations. China regards Vietnam as a priority direction in its diplomacy with neighboring countries and is willing to work with Vietnam to take the lead in deepening high-level mutually beneficial cooperation, upholding international fairness and justice, promoting human progress, and jointly building a strategically significant China Vietnam community with a shared future.
Xi Jinping emphasized that in the context of the accelerated evolution of the world's century long changes, both China and Vietnam should grasp the quasi political direction, adhere to the strategic perspective of China Vietnam relations, and ensure that bilateral relations continue to develop along the correct track. We need to strengthen the exchange of ideological concepts, make good use of institutionalized platforms such as theoretical discussions and cadre training, enhance the exchange and mutual learning of experience in governing the Party and the country, and jointly improve governance capabilities and solve governance problems. To create a win-win situation, tap into the potential of cooperation, comprehensively promote the alignment of development strategies and interconnectivity, and strive to achieve new goals of high-quality development through pragmatic cooperation. To cultivate people to people friendship, we should make good use of the opportunity of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam next year and the China Vietnam Cultural Exchange Year, strengthen traditional friendship education and public opinion guidance, and consolidate the public opinion foundation for the long-term development of bilateral relations.
Xi Jinping stated that the Third Plenum of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held in July this year made systematic arrangements for further deepening reforms and promoting Chinese style modernization. China's further comprehensive deepening of reform and promotion of high-level opening-up will not only open up broad prospects for its own development, but also bring new impetus and opportunities for the development of Vietnam and other countries in the world. The Chinese side is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Vietnamese side, and work together as companions on the path of reform and good partners on the path of modernization. I believe that under the leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, led by General Secretary Su Lin. The entire party, army, and people of Vietnam will successfully complete the goals and tasks set by the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and steadily move towards the centenary goal of building the party and the country.
Liang Qiang warmly congratulates the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, especially since the new era, on the tremendous development achievements led by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core. He expressed Vietnam's firm belief that China will achieve its second centenary goal as scheduled and make greater contributions to world and regional peace, stability, and prosperity. Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era has important guiding significance for China's socialist cause and significant value for socialist countries such as Vietnam and the international community. Vietnam and China are socialist neighbors connected by mountains and rivers. Vietnam highly values the valuable support provided by China to Vietnam during the period of national independence and liberation and the process of socialist construction. It has always regarded the development of relations with China as an objective need, strategic choice, and top priority of Vietnam's overall diplomacy. The current development of the relationship between the two parties and two countries is strong.
