On the 9th, the opening ceremony of the Romantic Planet - "Ocean Technology" Local Research and Art Co Creation Project Achievement Exhibition of the Sino French Digital Ocean Culture Month series of activities was held in Changle Digital Education Town, Fujian. The 18th "Sino French Cultural Spring" officially kicked off in April this year. As one of the special presentation activities of the "Sino French Cultural Spring", this achievement exhibition showcases the cultural integration from maritime trade routes to the digital world through creative expressions such as video, installation, sound, painting, and photography by artists from both countries, promoting cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries in the digital age. After the opening ceremony, Charlotte Faucher Ishii, President of the É cole Nationale Sup é rieure des Arts in Paris Serzi, delivered a keynote speech titled "How the Digital Wave ENSAPC prepares students for future opportunities and challenges". The speech showcased the school's use of cutting-edge technologies such as digital technology, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence to integrate art education, showcasing a new perspective and infinite possibilities in the field of art education empowered by digital technology. With the support and promotion of the Consulate General of France in Guangzhou and the French Cultural Center, this event aims to facilitate better two-way exchanges between Chinese and French cultures and stimulate artistic co creation. During his speech, the Cultural Consul of the French Consulate General in Guangzhou, Hong Shirakawa, stated that "artist residency projects are of great significance for cultural exchange between countries and the creation of contemporary works that reflect regional characteristics." As one of the organizers of the Sino French Digital Ocean Culture Month event, the Digital Education Town relies on the digital technology advantages of NetDragon and the platform advantages of the 101 Art Trend Play Center to continuously break through in international exchanges and innovation of "digital+economy" and "education+culture". Lin Tong, Vice President of NetDragon Network Company and General Manager of Digital Education Town, expressed in his speech that he hopes the Digital Education Town can continue to utilize its own advantages, promote the reconstruction of local culture, tell the story of China well, and promote exchanges between China and France. It is reported that the works of the "Ocean Technology" Local Research and Art Co Creation Project Exhibition are created by artists from China and France. Through on-site research and visits, they deeply explore the local culture of Fuzhou and Changle Binhai New Area, and re connect the local historical marine culture with the future development of digital industries from new perspectives such as technology, ocean, and humanities, and create new art works. These works, along with selected outstanding works from previous years at the É cole Normale Sup é rieure de Paris Serzi, are open for public exhibition and experience. The entire exhibition will be held from October 9, 2024 to April 7, 2025 at the 101 Art Trend Play Center in the digital education town. This achievement exhibition is jointly organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Fujian Province, the Management Committee of Fuzhou New Area, the Fujian Association for Cultural Exchange with Foreign Countries, the Consulate General of France in Guangzhou, and the French Culture Joint Guidance.
