Li Qiang attends the series of East Asian Cooperation Leaders' Meetings in Vientiane and pays an official visit to Laos

On the evening of October 9th local time, Li Qiang arrived at Wanxiang Wanda International Airport by charter flight. Minister of Planning and Investment of Laos, Chairman of the Laos China Cooperation Committee, Pei, and Chinese Ambassador to Laos, Fang Hong, welcomed them at the airport.
Li Qiang stated that since the beginning of this year, Laos, as the rotating chair of ASEAN, has actively played a leading role, focused on practical cooperation, consolidated consensus among all parties, and promoted new progress and achievements in the construction of the ASEAN community and East Asian cooperation. China firmly supports the construction of the ASEAN community, the central position of ASEAN in regional cooperation, and the greater role of ASEAN in international affairs. China is willing to exchange views with all parties on major issues of regional cooperation and jointly promote the region to continue to be an important engine for global development.
Li Qiang pointed out that in recent years, under the strategic guidance of General Secretary Xi Jinping, the President of the People's Republic of China, General Secretary Tonglun, and the President of the People's Republic of China, the comprehensive strategic cooperation between China and Laos has continued to deepen and become more practical, and the relationship between the two countries has entered a new era of building a community with a shared future. Currently, China is further deepening reforms comprehensively and moving towards the second centenary goal of building a socialist modernized strong country in all respects. Laos is embarking on a new journey of reform and opening up, promoting the deepening development of its socialist cause. China is willing to work with Laos to further align development strategies, strengthen solidarity and cooperation, and promote more substantive progress in building a community of common destiny between China and Laos, so as to better benefit the two peoples.
