Sichuan Daocheng Yading Scenic Area announces that 8 people have been banned from entering for life
2024-10-09
During the National Day holiday, the Yading National Nature Reserve Management Bureau and Daocheng Yading Scenic Area Management Bureau of Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province jointly issued a notice stating that according to relevant laws and regulations such as the "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Nature Reserves", Wang Mouqiang and 8 others are prohibited from entering the Yading National Nature Reserve and Yading Scenic Area for life to carry out all forms of tourism and activities. According to the report, on October 2, 2024, Wang Mouqiang (male, 40 years old), Sun Mouying (female, 35 years old), and Chen Mouzhuo (female, 27 years old) disregarded the announcement of the scenic spot (protected area) and entered the undeveloped area of the Yading Scenic Area (i.e. the core area and buffer zone of the Yading National Nature Reserve) without authorization to carry out hiking activities. They also took advantage of the staff's off-duty to damage the materials of the scenic spot service station, which was of a malicious nature. Li Mouting (female, 31 years old), Li Mou (male, 31 years old), Chong Mouzeng (male, 29 years old), Ji Mouxue (female, 26 years old), Li Mou (male, 26 years old) and other five people entered the undeveloped area of Aden Scenic Area without authorization (i.e. the ecological tourism area of Aden National Nature Reserve that has not been opened), and ignored the staff's repeated dissuasion, still secretly touching and entering the undeveloped area to carry out hiking activities. The above 8 tourists violated the management regulations of the Aden National Nature Reserve and Aden Scenic Area, causing certain harm to the protection and management of the reserve and scenic area. Effective immediately, Wang Mouqiang and 8 others are prohibited from entering the Aden National Nature Reserve and Aden Scenic Area for life to engage in any form of tourism and activities. The notification also stated that due to the complex terrain and climate environment of the nature reserve, as well as the lack of communication signals in the deep mountainous areas, it is difficult to carry out rescue operations in a timely and effective manner once a safety accident occurs. It is hoped that backpackers will cherish resources and lives, and not illegally enter the reserve. (New Society)
