Preliminary results show that incumbent President Said has won the Tunisian presidential election

The preliminary vote count results of the presidential election released by the Tunisian Independent Electoral Commission on the 7th showed that the incumbent President Said won. On the 7th, the Chairman of Tunisia's Supreme Independent Electoral Commission, Buasker, announced that according to preliminary vote counting results, Said received 90.69% of the vote in the presidential election held on the 6th. Among the other two candidates, the leader of the Azimon Movement, Zamel, received 7.35% of the vote, while the General Secretary of the Tunisian People's Movement, Magzavi, received 1.97% of the vote. On October 7th, the Tunisian Independent Electoral Commission held a press conference in the capital city of Tunis. According to Tunisian law, the candidate who receives more than half of the votes in the first round of the presidential election is directly elected as the president.
