Turk served as the United Nations Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs from 2000 to 2005, and as the President of Slovenia from 2007 to 2012. He has visited China more than 50 times. "Quality improvement requires technological innovation and development and ecological environment protection, and China is in the leading position in this regard."
