2024-09-30
On the occasion of the "China Russia Cultural Year", the Moscow State Stanislavski and Nemerovich Danchenko Musical Theatre Ballet, together with "Swan Lake", will once again embark on a tour of China at the Poly Theatre in Beijing on September 29th. The Stanislavski Theatre Ballet is one of the three major ballet companies in Russia. The "Swan Lake" choreographed by Vladimir Bulmest, the then artistic director, caused a sensation in Europe when it was first released in 1953. Its first tour to China in 1954 also sparked strong reactions. It is reported that this Chinese tour will feature several famous dancers from the dance troupe, accompanied by the Tianjin Song and Dance Theater Orchestra, and led by Felix Korobov, a Russian People's Artist and winner of the "Golden Mask" award at the Russian National Theatre Awards. The tour will take place in Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen. (New Society)
