2024-09-26
How to solve the problem of "difficult to obtain tickets" in popular museums? How is the progress of the Fourth National Cultural Relics Census? What new progress has been made in archaeological work? At a series of news conferences themed "Promoting high-quality development" held by the State Council Information Office on the 25th, the relevant leaders of the National Cutural Heritage Administration responded to relevant questions.
Enhancing supply and optimizing services to balance the popularity of museums
In recent years, the "museum craze" has continued to heat up, with some popular museums experiencing difficulties in making reservations and obtaining tickets. At the press conference, Liu Yang, director of the Department of Museum and Social Cultural Relics of the National Cutural Heritage Administration, shared a set of data for this year——
As of the end of August this year, 6833 officially registered museums across the country have received 940 million visitors, including 299 million visitors in the two months of summer vacation. Six provinces have received over 15 million visitors.
These data all indicate that the public's demand for high-quality cultural products is increasing, and they have also put forward higher requirements for our work. Liu Yang believes that behind the "museum fever" is the problem of "uneven heating and cooling" in museums, and museum practitioners must first face how to make museums "hot" in a balanced manner.
Liu Yang stated that efforts should be made to continuously strengthen and improve the supply capacity of high-quality culture, continue to optimize open services, and actively expand service forms.
Regarding the issue of "scalpers" grabbing tickets, Liu Yang specifically mentioned that special consultations have been held with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Ministry of Public Security recently, and special rectification actions have been launched in Beijing and other places to combat "scalpers". Next, we will continue to focus on hot issues such as appointment visits and explanation services to strengthen regulatory guidance and ensure the basic public cultural rights and interests of the masses, "he said.
The Fourth National Cultural Relics Census is progressing smoothly
In November 2023, the fourth national cultural relics census will be launched. This census will help us better grasp the "family background" of immovable cultural relics.
Guan Qiang, deputy director of the National Cutural Heritage Administration, said that since the census was carried out, "five completions" have basically been achieved - the establishment of census institutions, the gathering of census teams, the completion of full coverage training, the completion of the pilot of the whole process and the completion of all-round guarantee.
How many census teams are there? Guan Qiang said that various regions have mobilized various forces and formed more than 5000 census teams with more than 45000 census members, which is half the number of people compared to the third national cultural relics census.
At present, field investigations in the wild are still ongoing, "Guan Qiang said. The next step will be to carry out on-site supervision, go to various places to inspect and guide, strengthen business support, and provide technical support; Strengthen supervision in areas with slow progress and insufficient new discoveries.
Strive to build archaeology with Chinese characteristics, Chinese style, and Chinese grandeur
The Project of Exploring the Origin of Chinese Civilization proposed the definition of civilization and the identification of China's plan to enter a civilized society, 18 major "Archaeological China" projects were promoted as a whole, and more than 990 active archaeological projects were implemented in an orderly manner during the "14th Five Year Plan" period... The reporter learned from the press conference that in recent years, the National Cutural Heritage Administration has made great efforts to promote the construction of archaeology with Chinese characteristics, Chinese style, and Chinese style, and has made important progress.

He also stated that he will continue to promote the social sharing of archaeological achievements, continue to advance the protection and utilization of large archaeological sites, build dynamic archaeological site parks, site museums, etc., promote archaeological research and provide the public with more diverse archaeological experience venues and products, and fully play the role of exploring history to educate people and cultural people.
