The State Council Tariff Commission suspends the implementation of the zero tariff policy on imports of some agricultural products from Taiwan
2024-09-19
Taiwan unilaterally adopts discriminatory measures such as bans and restrictions on the export of mainland products, seriously hindering cross-strait economic and trade cooperation. The Tariff Commission of the State Council recently announced that starting from September 25, 2024, the policy of exempting 34 agricultural products, including fresh fruits, vegetables, and aquatic products originating from Taiwan, from import tariffs will be suspended. The import tariffs for related agricultural products will be implemented in accordance with current relevant regulations. (New Society)
