The meeting pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the National People's Congress systematically expounded the "five significant political advantages" of the People's Congress system, profoundly pointed out that the People's Congress system is an important institutional carrier for realizing the full process of people's democracy in China, and emphasized the "eight must be adhered to". These new ideas, thoughts, and requirements have formed General Secretary Xi Jinping's important ideology on adhering to and improving the system of people's congresses, which has pointed out the direction of progress and provided fundamental guidance for the continuous promotion of socialist democratic political construction in the new era and new journey, and for adhering to, improving, and operating the system of people's congresses.
