On September 18th, the press conference of the 2024 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference was held in Beijing. The conference is jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Transport, and the Beijing Municipal People's Government, with the theme of "Collaborative and Intelligent Future - Sharing New Opportunities for the Development of Intelligent Connected Vehicles". It will be held from October 17th to 19th at the Beijing Yizhuang Beiren Yichuang International Convention and Exhibition Center. The World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference is the first national level intelligent connected vehicle professional conference approved by the State Council in China. Since 2018, it has been successfully held for six consecutive sessions. In recent years, major automotive countries and regions around the world have successively laid out the intelligent connected vehicle industry, accelerating deployment and increasing investment through various measures such as policy planning, pilot demonstrations, and technological innovation. This conference will feature 3 general events, 3 special events, 6 themed summits, N concurrent side events, and interactive activities. Special discussions will be organized to gather viewpoints from all parties, showcase cutting-edge technologies, innovate test driving experiences, and lead the development trend of the global intelligent connected vehicle industry. In terms of exhibition activities, it is expected that more than 250 well-known domestic and foreign enterprises and institutions in the field of complete vehicles and core components will participate in this exhibition. More than 200 vehicles, forward-looking technologies, and innovative products will be exhibited, and the exhibition specifications, exhibition design, and content achievements will be the highest in history. This year's conference innovates its hosting mode and presents four major features: firstly, it sets up various forms of conference activity organization modes, integrates multiple resources, and highlights the concept of hosting conferences across the industry. The second is to invite automobile regulatory authorities and authoritative international organizations from various countries to attend, greatly increasing the degree of internationalization. Developing the intelligent connected vehicle industry is an important part of Beijing's construction of an international science and technology innovation center, building a high-precision and cutting-edge industrial structure, and creating a world-class digital economy benchmark city. In the first half of 2024, the output value of Beijing's intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry exceeded 226 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.1%, with significant achievements in transformation and upgrading.
